Doesn't feel much like fall does it? Close your eyes, and take a bite of these Cinnamon Apple Grits. Immediate Autumn Awesomeness in a bowl!

- 1 Cup White Palmetto Farms Stone Ground Grits (20% off at PalmettoFarms.com through 09/25)
- 4 Cups of your favorite apple juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole Allspice Berries (optional)
- 2 whole cloves (optional)
- 2 medium apples (sweet or tart depending on your taste)
Place Palmetto Farms Grits, apple
juice, butter, vanilla, cinnamon sticks and spices(optional) in a medium
saucepan. Mix with a wire whisk while bringing to a boil over medium-high
heat. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes (stirring often).
Meanwhile, Core and Chop apples.
**Remove cinnamon sticks and spices (use caution as grits will be hot)
Stir in chopped apples and continue cooking 5-10 minutes. (5 for firmer apples & 10 for softer apples)
Add 2 TBSP. brown sugar to saucepan before cooking.
Add the juice of an orange to saucepan before cooking.
Add freshly chopped apples on top before serving.
Add chopped walnuts before serving.
Serve with vanilla ice cream for a yummy dessert.
*Chef Note - Peeling the apples is a personal preference. We enjoyed keeping the peel for a crisp textural element.
