Palmetto Farms Grits Cooking Directions
Place 4 cups of water and 1 cup of grits in a medium to large sauce pan. Salt to taste. Cook on high. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Cover with lid and reduce to a simmer. Cook approximately 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Chicken stock may be substituted for water, which is the way our family has always enjoyed grits. Just be aware that less salt will be needed if the chicken stock is used.
